CADD
drafting and
design
Many of the items you
use everyday were an idea and in order to implement these ideas
into production, drawings were developed to communicate your
ideas to allow almost everyone to understand. It began with
pencil and paper and then advanced to mylar and pen and
now
computer aided design is
the norm.
Almost every design firm
uses computers for drafting and design, although some prefer
paper and a drawing board to whip out a quick sketch. CAD has
evolved through the years allowing the architect or engineer to
project their ideas exactly into a computer. Procedures for
each office vary and usually the CAD is left to the CAD
designer or CAD operator so the project manager can
focus their efforts on ideas and designs.
When CAD systems were
first introduced for drafting and design, they were basically a
connect the dot(s) type of drawing system. Many refinements and
industry changes have since taken place and now, although you
can connect the dots if you choose, advanced techniques exist
that save time and allow the CAD operator to organize,
structure and complete projects much faster. An experienced
drafter can save you time and money completing projects quicker
and saving you money.
Today, I very much
enjoy the freedom and variety freelancing brings. As many
freelance or business owners will tell you it is hard work
and there is some truth to that, I tend to focus on learning
new concepts and principles. I envision my services to be
used for;
Doing
business does carry a certain risk and doing business
over the internet is also risky and therefore I have
developed guidelines to eliminate some of that risk.
Progress payments must be made on a daily or weekly
basis, no exceptions. I will send PDF's of my progress
and drawing files will be released upon payment in full.
For those in the Boise, Idaho area, I am available to
come to you or meet with you and discuss your design
needs.
We
welcome the opportunity to assist you with your drafting
and design needs and will do everything we can to assist
you meeting reasonable deadlines.
